INTORDUCTION
Artemether 40 mg and Lumefantrine 240 mg Tablets is used for treatment of uncomplicated Plasmodium falciparum malaria that is not treatable with chloroquine. It is not typically used to prevent malaria.
USES OF ARTEMETHER 40 MG & 240 MG LUMEFANTRINE TABLET
TThis combination is used to treat certain kinds of malaria infections. Artemether and lumefantrine should not be used to prevent malaria but only kills the organisms that cause malaria.

HOW ARTEMETHER 40 MG & 240 MG LUMEFANTRINE TABLET WORKS
Artemether inhibits calcium adenosine triphosphatase while Lumefantrine binds to hemin produced during haemoglobin breakdown. Both artemether and lumefantrine inhibit nucleic acid and protein synthesis. Artemether rapidly reduces parasite biomass and lumefantrine eliminates residual parasites.
