Amoxicillin is a penicillin G derivative used for the treatment of infections caused by gram-positive bacteria. Amoxicillin has similar activity to penicillin and ampicillin, but leads to higher serum concentrations than ampicillin.

Amoxicillin Capsules is used to treat many bacterial infections like ear infections, nose infections, throat infections, bronchitis, tonsillitis, skin infections, respiratory tract infections and genitourinary tract infections.

Amoxicillin belongs beta-lactams class. It work by binding proteins and inhibiting certain processes in bacterial cells. This causes the cell walls to break down and destroys the bacteria, a process called bactericidal killing.
